On the road

Finally, we were there. April 17th, 2009, day of departure for our journey of rhéto! It was 6:30 pm when we left Chimay to go to Barcelona. We had 12 hours of road to go there. But on the road, there were only beautiful landscapes such as this sunrise or The Pyrenees Mountains.

Day 1


We arrived at the hotel surfing Mar at about 10 am. There, outside, near the swimming pool we have wait that release our rooms at about 1 pm. The hotel was to Lloret de Mar and at the edge of the beach, what allowed us to go often to this one.

First day, we paid no visit, we so rested in rooms or on the beach! We made the stores at the end of the day, before eating. As meal whether it is the morning or the evening, it was an enormous buffet of the Spanish and other dishes ! We very well ate!

Finally, we spent the evening all together to drink very good cocktails in a bar near the beach.

Day 2

The second day is our first day in Barcelona, first visiting day too.

We got up early to have lunch to start at 9 am in the direction of Barcelona. There, we have, in the car, seen the surroundings of Barcelona, then we went to visit the Mirò foundation, an artist with a lot of talents, in particular painting and sculpture.

Then, we went to see the Olympic Stadium which was built for the olympics games of 1992, this stadium were one of prides of Barcelona. We received on behalf of our guide of several explanations concerning this olympic district.

At around midday, we went to Pueblo, a kind of town including all the various styles of architecture of Spain and where it was a great atmosphere! And under the sun, we took our lunch, our Happy Meal so nicknamed! Let us admit it, it was not very tasty. There was just, an industrial sandwich, a bottle of water, a fruit juice, a yoghourt and a fruit.

Then we went to visit the Gothic district of the city where there were ancient roman buildings.

And for the last activity of the day, we went to see Pedrera, a typical building of Gaudi, a very famous architect of Barcelona with a particular style!

It was already the hour of return towards Lloret de Mar who is situated at 1:30 am of road of Barcelona.

Finally, we are all gather on the beach, with of which to party moderately! One of the best moments of the group! By returning of the beach, after midnight, we celebrated Pauline Pinget's birthday. She has to remember it, because it was another very good moment between teachers and pupils!

Day 3

For the 3rd day, we began with the park of Güell, the park realized by Gaudi! It was also a magnificent place but there was a lot of people.

Then, of return in the center of Barcelona, to visit the most famous building of the city: Sagrada Familia, also realized by Gaudi! He was moreover supposed to be his life for its construction with always this particular style!

Gaudi did not know how to end it, that is why, even today, It is in construction site, the objectif is to end it in 2026!

And the best for the end, stores! And to reach there, we crossed famous "Las Ramblas".

After our spare time, it was time to go back in the hotel. We spent a very good evening during which we brought cakes surprises to Pauline!

After that, we benefited of our last evening in Lloret or by going out or by staying calmly in the bar of the hotel where we met Italian students.

The last day

For the last day, we have the free morning and so we are walked to us to Lloret de Mar, once more under the sun! Before it, we had of to pack our luggage.

Then, we went to eat to the restaurant. There was indeed on for menu of the paella or some pizza...

For 16 hours, we wer in Figueras where we visited the very beautiful Dali's museum! A very original museum! There was also a lot a lot of people!

And after this last museum, it already was the hour to return in Belgium! This trip was brilliant, everything was perfect.

This journey was magnificent surrounded with interesting persons and with nice teachers.
